The Business Development Manager, Southeast Region, is responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly and annual financial and pipeline targets by identifying, qualifying, following the RWD sales process to conclusion and closing sales.  The incumbent will sell RWD's complete portfolio of solutions in an assigned territory which can include one or more of the following; 

 

  • Professional Service Solutions

          Workforce Competency

          Performance Improvement

          Strategic Consulting Services

          Learning Services

          Managed Services

          Technology Implementation and Integration

 

  • RWD Product Suite offerings

 

The Business Development Manager is expected to prospect within their assigned territory, qualify leads, conduct solution demonstrations, write effective proposals, negotiate, and close new business. In addition he/she will function as the customer contact and advocate building a deep understanding of each customer's strategic direction, identifying and shaping customer requirements, developing a winning strategy and teaming across RWD.  Key focus areas will include:

 

  • New customers in targeted markets
  • New customers in a geographic territory
  • Penetrate existing assigned accounts with new opportunities

 

 



Required Qualifications:

The position requires an individual who brings deep technology industry knowledge, has experience in complex selling environments and proven results growing and penetrating account relationships.

 

  • Ten years business experience
  • Five or more years of direct sales achieving a minimum quota of 2 million dollars per year
  • Five or more years of experience selling professional services to Fortune 1000 companies
  • Demonstrated success in growing new business initiatives that turn into long term profitable account relationships
  • Demonstrated success building relationships at the CEO, COO and Vice President levels
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
  • Working knowledge of RWD's business development strategy, vision, mission and guiding principles
  • Office will be home based with travel requirements up to 75%

 

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree

 



Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA preferred
  • Residence in Memphis, Nashville, or St Louis with local business contacts preferred
